Overnight Newborn Care

From the Start

With overnight care, I begin supporting your family the very first night you arrive home from the hospital or birth center. My role is to ease your transition into life with a newborn by offering calm, proactive care for your baby, and support for you as new (or growing) parents. I take on the full responsibility of nighttime feeds, soothing, and diaper changes, while also providing gentle guidance around breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or a combination of both.

Throughout the night, I’m there to answer questions, offer reassurance, and ensure everything aligns with current pediatric safety recommendations. My goal is to protect your rest, support your recovery, and create a peaceful, structured environment for your baby.

One of the beautiful benefits of beginning care from birth is that most babies never go on to need formal sleep training later. By nurturing healthy rhythms and laying a strong foundation for independent sleep in the earliest weeks, your newborn naturally moves toward longer stretches and easier nights. By the time I transition out, typically between 6–12 weeks, your family is already well on its way to predictable, restful sleep.

Care Rates & Booking Options

Overnight newborn support is offered in 10–12 hour shifts at Overnight newborn support is offered in 10–12 hour shifts at $50 per hour. My care is hands-on, consistent, and designed to meet your baby’s needs through every stage of those early weeks.

Most families book:

  • 3–4 nights per week when they want meaningful rest and reliable help with feeds

  • 5–6 nights per week when they want true continuity, smoother nights, and intentional sleep shaping from the very beginning

These first weeks of life are full of rapid developmental changes, especially around 6 weeks and again near 12 weeks. For that reason, many families choose to book care in 6-week or 12-week increments. This ensures that your baby has continuous support through the biggest growth phases, and that you feel confident and rested as your newborn adapts and matures.

I will soon be eligible again for reimbursement through Carrot Fertility, which means families who have Carrot as an employer benefit may be able to receive full reimbursement for my services. This can significantly reduce out-of-pocket costs while still giving you access to high-level, in-home newborn support.

Whether you’re looking for a few nights of relief or a more structured start to your baby’s sleep journey, I offer care that is warm, steady, and tailored to your family’s needs.
